About us
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only son, Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontious Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

HISTORY
Rosebud Indian Lutheran Church was started in 1993 as a mission of the South Dakota District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. There was some inital work done through St. John Lutheran Church in Norris, South Dakota. Rev. Robert Utecht was the first missionary called here. His son, Andrew, together with his wife, Lori, and their children were at the seminary at that time, and came and helped during the summers. In 1996 Andrew was a vicar in Rosebud serving under his father. In 1997 Andrew was ordained, and has served here ever since. His father retired, though still served the Lord Jesus actively until shortly before his death in 2012. We moved to the location in the below/left photo in 2003, renovating an old Catholic church.

The Lord's Warriors Lutheran Church in the community of Parmelee was started initially as a children's ministry, and then began worship services. The children's ministry continues, but this mission has grown to include worship, a food bank, a youth group and more.
